Photography Degree Information
Students at Loyola may complete a major in visual arts with a concentration in photography, an interdisciplinary major, a major in visual arts with a concentration in interarts, a minor in photography, a minor in interarts, or take photography courses as electives.
Visual Arts Major, Photography Concentration
Requirements for the major:
- AH 109 - Non-Western Art or AH 110 - Western Art: Paleolithic to Gothic or AH 111 - Western Art: Renaissance to Contemporary
- PT 270 - Basic Digital Photography
- PT 300 - Photocraft or PT 301 - Photographic Vision: Tools, Techniques, and Theories
- PT 350 - Visual Thinking
- PT 400 - Senior Capstone for Artists
- SA 224 - Two-Dimensional Design or SA 227 - 3-D Design in Art and Engineering

- Three additional PT upper-level courses (300-level or higher)
InterArts Minor
