Loyola鈥檚 Mission Week to celebrate University鈥檚 Jesuit and Maryland heritage

Mission Week 2026

成人抖阴 will host its annual Mission Week, a series of events and activities celebrating the University鈥檚 Jesuit and Maryland heritage, from March 15-20, 2026.

Mission Week 2026 will include Masses, programs, lectures, and other events that offer an opportunity for the community to engage with Loyola鈥檚 mission. See the full schedule on the University鈥檚 Mission Week website.  All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

鈥淓very year, we have an opportunity to advance our Jesuit mission priorities during Mission Week, particularly Ignatian formation,鈥 said Milton Javier Bravo, Ph.D., vice president for mission and identity. 鈥淲e will have opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of St. Ignatius of Loyola and how his life informs our studies and work. All members of our community are welcome to attend these events, as we continue to foster an Ignatian culture on campus.鈥

Some of the offerings have been designed to give opportunities to engage with Ignatian formation, one of the University's mission priorities and a focus of its strategic plan.

"While we aspire every day at 成人抖阴 to see that our rich Jesuit heritage informs the work we do, it is vitally important that we take time each year to celebrate our connections to our roots and encourage our fidelity to the tradition,鈥 said the Rev. Steve Spahn, S.J., affiliate professor of theology and assistant to the director of mission integration. 鈥淢ore than anything during Mission Week, we hope that all the diverse members of the Loyola community will see themselves as both belonging to and responsible for this proud legacy."
