Outdoor Adventure
Katie Benoit joined the 成人抖阴 Department of Recreation and Wellness in May of 2022 as the Assistant Director of Outdoor Adventure. Katie oversees the Outdoor Adventure Experience program including student leaders, outdoor trip logistics, training and teambuilding sessions. Additionally, Katie is responsible for the climbing wall operations in the Fitness and Aquatic Center.
Originally from central Massachusetts, Katie completed a Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Psychology from 成人抖阴. It is during her time at Loyola as an undergraduate leader in the outdoor adventure experience program where Katie discovered her passion for the outdoors and leadership. From there, Katie went on to pursue a Master鈥檚 Degree in Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Studies from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. During her time in both programs, Katie pursued multidisciplinary opportunities to further her knowledge and passion of outdoor education and recreation.
When Katie isn鈥檛 in the office, she is most likely spending time outdoors on a trail run, paddling, or mountain biking. Katie is a lifetime Patriots fan, and her daily motto is, 鈥淎ttitude is the difference between an adventure and an ordeal.鈥�
